This role positions you as the primary contact for families making the decision about where to begin their child's education. Each email you compose, event you arrange, and discussion you facilitate will determine whether a family selects Alpha. You will oversee the complete journey for prospective families starting with their initial contact. Your responsibilities include timely and considerate responses, coordination of campus visits and shadow experiences, upkeep of precise applicant information, and guidance for parents on Alpha's approach and fit with their objectives. This high-visibility, connection-focused position allows you to directly affect enrollment outcomes. This is an on-campus, fast-moving role based in Palo Alto, CA and Piedmont (East Bay), CA, ideal for someone capable of balancing competing demands with precision and attention. What you will be doing Answering inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours with communication that is clear, professional, and consistent with Alpha's values Organizing and delivering admissions activities, campus visits, and shadow day experiences from planning through follow-up engagement Ensuring applicant records remain thorough and precise across CRM systems and admissions tools Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to concerns, and gather relevant information Coordinating with campus teams and admissions staff to maintain a streamlined and effective enrollment process What you will NOT be doing Rendering final decisions on admissions or shaping enrollment guidelines Delivering instruction or managing academic content Employing aggressive sales methods or formulaic messaging Functioning within a disorganized or slow-paced setting Key Responsibilities Provide a polished, high-conversion admissions journey that converts early curiosity into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha. Candidate Requirements 2+ years of customer-facing experience At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously Ability to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA or Piedmont (East Bay), CA Authorization to work in the United States Nice to have Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments This position is also known as: Admissions Coordinator Admissions Associate Admissions Specialist Admissions Representative
