EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGER
Pay:
$25.00-$28.00 per hour
Job Type:
Full-time, in person Do you have a passion for education and helping students succeed? Are you interested in growing your experience in program management, customer relations, sales, staff development, and business operations? At Sylvan Learning of San Francisco, our Education Program Managers play an important role in helping students thrive, supporting families, and keeping the center running smoothly. You'll work alongside an experienced, collaborative management team, with training and ongoing support as you grow into the role. The position combines student program management, parent conferences, tutor coaching, support for center operations, and tutoring up to two to three days per week, depending on center needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Manage student programs: Manage a caseload of students, monitor academic progress, evaluate changing needs, and make timely program adjustments and recommendations.
Build strong family relationships:
Serve as a primary point of contact for families, conduct regular parent progress conferences, communicate student progress and recommendations, and address questions or concerns.
Manage customer accounts:
Review tuition balances, payment histories, and account ledgers; identify upcoming tuition needs; and communicate proactively with families about continued services.
Support retention and sales:
Build strong relationships that encourage student retention, discuss continued enrollment and additional program recommendations with families, and support inquiry calls, assessments, promotions, and new-student enrollment conferences.
Coach and develop tutors:
Assist with recruiting, screening, onboarding, training, and evaluating tutors, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Lead the instructional floor:
Help maintain a positive, productive learning environment and support tutors and students during instructional hours.
Tutor students:
Tutor up to two to three days per week, depending on center needs, to maintain a strong understanding of our students, programs, and instructional approach.
Support center operations:
Help with scheduling, staffing, customer and employee issues, recordkeeping, center procedures, and the day-to-day details required to keep a busy educational center running smoothly.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree Genuine passion for education and helping students succeed Teaching, tutoring, youth-development, or other relevant educational experience Strong customer service and communication skills Comfort conducting frequent parent meetings and managing ongoing family relationships Comfort reviewing detailed customer account information, including tuition balances, payment histories, and account ledgers Comfort with sales, including discussing tuition, enrollment, continued services, and additional program recommendations with families Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Sound judgment, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality Strong team-player and collaborator Willingness to learn and support the full business operations of the center Ability to reliably commute to our West Portal center in San Francisco Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in education, tutoring, academic support, youth development, or a related learning environment Prior customer service or other customer-facing experience Experience mentoring, training, coaching, or supporting others Prior sales, enrollment, customer-retention, or account-management experience

This is a full-time, in-person position at our West Portal center. Candidates must be available for the full schedule below:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
