Job Description

About the Role & Pre-Opening Phase We are seeking an energetic, visionary, and hands-on Soccer Program Director to launch and lead youth soccer operations at our brand-new indoor facility in San Jose, California.
Please Note:
Our facility is currently under development and not yet open to the public. We are hiring our Founding Director ahead of our grand opening to shape our technical curriculum, recruit the coaching team, and build excitement across the local soccer community before opening day. This is a rare, ground-floor opportunity to build a premier indoor soccer training hub from scratch. We are looking for an entrepreneurial technical leader who treats the academy with true ownership mentality—with substantial room for long-term growth, profit sharing, and future partnership for the right partner. Once open, our program will focus on technical skill development, high-touch clinics, foundational academies, small-sided play, birthday parties, corporate events, etc .
Key Responsibilities Pre-Launch Buildout:
Collaborate with ownership to design youth training pathways, select training gear, plan opening clinic schedules, and drive pre-registration outreach with local families and clubs.
Curriculum & Program Delivery:
Oversee high-repetition, indoor-specific training sessions that sharpen footwork, game awareness, decision-making, and player confidence across all skill levels.
Coaching Staff Leadership:
Recruit, onboard, schedule, and mentor a team of dynamic part-time coaches; run select marquee sessions and clinics to set the standard on the pitch.
Customer & Community Relations:
Serve as the welcoming face of the facility for parents and players—communicating player progress, addressing family inquiries, and building club relationships.
Operational Standards:
Maintain safety protocols, session quality, and equipment readiness across daily operations.
Qualifications & Requirements Competitive Playing Experience:
Collegiate, semi-pro, professional, or elite youth academy background strongly preferred.
Youth Coaching Background:
3-5+ years of youth coaching experience with a proven focus on technical player development (futsal or indoor experience is a plus).
Leadership & Curriculum Skills:
Demonstrated ability to build structured practice plans and guide/mentor assistant coaches.
Customer Service:
Strong interpersonal skills with parents, youth players, and community sports organizations.
Certifications:
USSF, United Soccer Coaches, or UEFA credentials preferred (or commitment to obtain). Must be able to pass a background check and complete SafeSport / CPR certifications.
Schedule Flexibility:
Primary availability during afternoons, evenings, and weekends to align with peak youth training times (includes a rotating schedule to ensure regular weekends off).
Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay:
Base salary (Full-Time) or hourly rate (Part-Time), commensurate with experience.
Health Insurance Stipend:
Monthly health insurance stipend provided for Full-Time employees to help offset personal medical coverage.
Incentive Bonuses:
Performance- and enrollment-based bonuses tied to launch milestones and program growth.
Profit-Sharing & Partnership Track:
For a director who demonstrates sustained leadership, cultural alignment, and operational excellence, this role includes a genuine pathway toward profit sharing and potential equity partnership.
Professional Growth:
Financial support for coaching licenses, diplomas, and continuing education. How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter summarizing your competitive playing background, coaching philosophy, and experience building or leading youth soccer programs to: soccerconfidencecode@gmail.com
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Work Location:
In person
