Position Summary:
The Interns for the Department of Athletics will assist in many duties and day to day functions and responsibilities of running an athletic department.
Responsibilities:
The position will play an integral role in the coordination and strategic development, implementation, and activation of comprehensive marketing and ticket sales plans, assistance with sponsorship implementation, social media, fan engagement, and organizational branding outreach within the Athletic Department at Adams State University. This position will assist the Business Manager in the day to day operations of the department Assist with Ticketing processes and game day experience Assist with Compliance department Assist in all aspects of planning, setup, execution and post-event operations Assist with all Grizzly Club Related functions Interns will hold office hours and be an integral part of this department Interns will communicate sport specific project or updates and potential promotional events Interns will assist with travel arrangements and other fiscal functions Lead marketing for the department Be in attendance at home events (including weekends) Other duties as assigned
Salary:
$5,000. Position is a 10-month at will appointment.

Qualifications:
Ability to perform the requirements of the position Bachelor's degree required Ability to work with a variety of personalities and excellent communication skills required. Knowledge of and commitment to strict adherence to NCAA, RMAC, university and department rules and regulations as well as a solid commitment to student achievement in academics. The successful candidate will be a person of high ethical standards and show initiative and integrity to make important independent decisions Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment Ability to treat others with respect, civility, and courtesy and to work honestly, effectively, and collegiality with employees, students, and the community. This includes the ability to use appropriate conflict management skills to effectively manage any disagreement that might arise or to bring the disagreement to management for assistance in productive resolution when the situation requires.
