Horizon House is Pennsylvania's oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, Horizon House has been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual/disabilities, and homelessness to help stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. With over 100 locations throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population, focusing on individual strength and choice. The Residence Manager, manages and supervises the daily operations of the Residential Group Home at our location Sussex County, Delaware . Some responsibilities would include the following: Advocate for individual rehabilitation, growth and development of program participants. Oversee the implementation of the assigned group home services and supports. Ensure and oversee compliance with all applicable contract regulations and agency policies and procedures. Ensures the timely completion/submission of recovery plans and recovery plan reviews and assessments. Coordinate and review required program documentation, logs, and reports; ensure documentation is complete, accurate and processed on a timely basis; submit special reports, as assigned within the specified time period. Oversee petty cash accounts for site expenses; monitor overall program monies in compliance with budgetary parameters; participate in the development of annual site budget. Supervises and ensures training of Clinicians, Associate Clinicians and Certified Nursing Assistants and provides management support to the Residential Registered Nurses.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, vocational/psychiatric rehabilitation, human services in related field. Five (5) years' experience in mental health service delivery with at least two (2) years supervisory experience in residential services. Ability to work independently. Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Scope:
Frequent listening and communicating. Must be available for local travel and on call responsibility. Requires the ability to lift carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, and bend which includes direct intervention with participants. Ability to climb and descend stairs to a second or basement level. Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Requires crisis intervention in emergency situations.
