Job Description

Goldey-Beacom College invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling Education and Practicum Coordinator. This individual will teach psychology and counseling courses and coordinate practicum sites with supervisors, students, faculty, and staff. We seek an organized individual with a strong background in program counselor education and practicum site management.
Key Responsibilities :
As a member of the GBC faculty, you would: Teach a 3/3 course load across undergraduate and graduate programs in counseling and psychology, ensuring relevance and rigor across all content areas Coordinate all practicum and internship experiences in accordance with CACREP Standards, including site development, supervisor liaising, and student support Establish and maintain partnerships with industry to support internships, practicums, and other hands-on learning experiences for students Participate in department and college assessment activities Demonstrate sustained engagement with the profession through participation in professional activities, scholarly activities, and service to the profession Why Join Goldey-Beacom College? Qualifications :
An earned doctoral degree in counselor education or in a closely related field, preferably with at least two years as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program or as a doctoral-level faculty member in CORE-accredited master's program. Demonstrated experience in the development and growth of counseling programs is highly desired. A record of excellence in teaching, with aptitude in the range of learning modalities. Evidence of a commitment to curriculum innovation and experiential learning, preparing students for excellence in the field. Knowledge of or experience with CACREP accreditation and assessment practices. Additional Qualifications for the
Associate Professor Rank:
Current appointment at the Associate Professor level or equivalent academic rank. Minimum of five (5) years of full-time teaching experience at a four-year College or University. Proven record of teaching and scholarly excellence. Applicants will be required to submit their complete dossier supporting their rank, including promotion and evaluation materials.
