This role is responsible for managing the admissions team, driving performance, improving conversion rates, and ensuring prospective clients and families receive a professional and compassionate admissions experience. The ideal candidate has proven behavioral health admissions leadership experience , strong knowledge of insurance and the treatment admissions process, and a track record of building and managing high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and manage a team of Admissions Coordinators . Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new admissions team members. Monitor individual and team performance against established KPIs, conversion goals, and admissions targets . Track and analyze call volume, lead activity, conversion rates, admissions, and other key performance metrics. Conduct ongoing coaching, call reviews, and performance management. Ensure timely and effective follow-up with prospective clients, families, and referral sources. Work closely with VOB, clinical, operations, and business development teams to facilitate appropriate admissions. Maintain a strong understanding of insurance verification, benefits, OON/INN coverage, and financial considerations related to behavioral health admissions. Identify opportunities to improve admissions workflows, conversion rates, and overall team efficiency. Ensure the admissions team maintains accurate documentation and provides a high level of customer service throughout the intake process. Qualifications Previous leadership experience within a behavioral health admissions department required . Experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing Admissions Coordinators. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, benefits, and behavioral health treatment admissions . Proven ability to manage teams based on KPIs, metrics, and performance goals . Experience working within a high-volume admissions or behavioral health call center environment strongly preferred. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to create accountability while maintaining a positive, performance-driven team culture.
