Field Trip Educator / Independent Contractor Part-Time

Education Programs Coordinator Availability:

As needed Mon-Fri / flexible schedule / School Year (October-May)

Job Goal:

To enthusiastically lead field trips for the 2nd and 4th-grade Environmental Education Program in Charlotte County.

Responsibilities:

Conduct various field trip programs including guided hikes, wading trips, and boat cruises. Able to Commute to both Englewood and Punta Gorda to Lead Field Trips. Educate about the Charlotte County watershed and water quality, native plants and animals, and the importance of preserving and protecting our environment. Provide an educational and memorable experience for students. Transport materials needed for the trips such as dip nets and educational specimens. Distribute and collect materials from teachers associated with the trips. Work harmoniously with the Education Coordinator and co-educators to create schedules and discuss new concepts. Training and all materials needed are provided. Must be able to pass a background check. Hiring multiple candidates for the upcoming season.
