Job Description

Job Overview The Admissions Representative is the School's first substantive contact with a prospective student. The position answers inquiries, explains the programs, the entrance requirements, the published costs, the payment options and the refund policy, conducts campus visits, helps an applicant assemble a complete and accurate file, and hands that file to the Director of Admission for the admission decision. It also represents the School away from campus — at high schools, career fairs, conferences and community events — within the limits set out in Section 7. What this position says to a prospective student binds Genesis Vocational Institute. Florida law makes fair consumer practice a condition of the School's license, and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges holds the School responsible for every statement its representatives make. For that reason the holder works from the current School Catalog and the current editions of the Faculty and Staff Handbook and the Student Handbook — never from memory, a prior edition, or an informal summary — and escalates rather than answering beyond what those documents say. The position reports to the Director of Admission and, through that office, to the School Director. Duties Engage with prospective students through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to provide comprehensive information about academic programs and admissions requirements Conduct engaging public speaking presentations at school fairs, community events, and campus tours to attract potential applicants Manage student information using the student information system (SIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track inquiries, applications, and follow-up activities Assist applicants in completing their applications accurately while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and educational regulations Collaborate with academic departments and team members to coordinate recruitment efforts and support enrollment goals Maintain detailed records of all interactions, application statuses, and recruitment activities using spreadsheets and data management tools Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions promptly, handling confidential information responsibly, and guiding students through the admissions process with clarity Skills Strong public speaking skills to confidently present information to diverse audiences Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google for data entry and management Experience in education administration, admissions, or enrollment management within academic institutions Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting Understanding of educational compliance standards and school policies governing admissions processes Excellent written communication skills for correspondence, reports, and promotional materials Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently Prior experience working directly with students or in customer service roles within university settings is highly desirable Join us in shaping futures by welcoming new students into our vibrant community! This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in education administration while making a positive difference in students' lives.
