What You Will Be Doing Lead and Teach:
Deliver live and recorded lectures for a minimum of 16 college-level courses annually, guiding students through core surgical topics, pharmaceuticals, sterilization, and hands-on lab skills.
Manage Department Operations:
Oversee adjunct faculty, manage course reviews, direct scheduling, and coordinate daily departmental activities to ensure academic excellence.
Drive Student Success:
Facilitate dynamic classroom discussions, provide targeted student solutions, and mentor future surgical technologists through their educational journey.
Support Academic Governance:
Actively participate in institutional committee meetings, curriculum development discussions, and general campus service activities under the direction of the Academic Dean.
Skills and Qualifications You Need Surgical Tech Expertise:
Must hold a valid, active professional Surgical Technology Certification along with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Instructional Delivery:
Strong ability to teach complex medical concepts—including surgical procedures, patient prepping, positioning, and clinical care—in both lecture and lab environments.
Leadership & Faculty Management:
Proven capacity to manage, schedule, and review adjunct faculty members while maintaining structured departmental workflows.
Preferred Experience:
Strong preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of successful teaching experience and prior academic management background.
