Medical Assisting Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Assisting Program Director to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing success of the Medical Assisting program. This leadership position combines education, program administration, curriculum development, faculty support, and student success . The Program Director will help create a collaborative learning environment while ensuring the program remains aligned with industry standards and institutional goals. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of the Medical Assisting program. Ensure curriculum remains relevant and aligned with industry needs. Collaborate with faculty to develop engaging lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials. Oversee student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and academic progress. Provide guidance and support to students throughout their educational experience. Manage program resources, scheduling, and operational needs. Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare industry partners to support clinical placements and graduate employment opportunities. Assist with faculty development and provide leadership to instructional staff. Maintain compliance with institutional policies, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards. Participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement. Work collaboratively with academic leadership, faculty, staff, students, and external partners. Requirements Experience in higher education teaching. Experience in education administration. Experience teaching within a healthcare or Medical Assisting program preferred. Strong background in program management, curriculum development, and academic policies. Strong understanding of the Medical Assisting field and educational best practices. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively collaborate with students, faculty, staff, healthcare partners, and academic leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for mentoring students and supporting their academic and professional development. Flexible schedule with availability to lead/manage a program with day/evening classes.
