The Admissions Coordinator will play a critical role in welcoming new patients and guiding them through the admissions process, ensuring they feel supported and informed as they begin their recovery journey. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of mental health and addiction services, and a genuine desire to help individuals and families in need.Key Responsibilities:
Patient Intake and Admissions:
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective patients and their families, providing accurate and empathetic information about the admissions process and treatment programs. Conduct initial phone screenings and assessments to determine eligibility and readiness for admission. Collaborate with clinical staff to review patient information and ensure appropriate placement within the program.Coordination and Scheduling:
Coordinate admission dates and ensure all required documentation is completed prior to arrival. Work closely with insurance verification teams to confirm coverage and explain financial responsibilities to patients and families. Schedule assessments and intake appointments while maintaining efficient communication with relevant departments.Communication and Support:
Provide emotional support and reassurance to prospective patients and their families during the admission process. Maintain consistent and professional communication with referral sources, external providers, and internal staff. Address concerns and answer questions related to treatment plans, facility policies, and available resources.Data and Documentation:
Accurately record and maintain detailed patient records in the admissions database. Track inquiries, referrals, and admissions metrics to assist in reporting and process improvement. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards throughout the admissions process.Program Representation:
Represent the treatment center professionally to external referral sources, community organizations, and potential patients. Participate in outreach efforts to build relationships with referral partners and expand the center's network.Benefits
