Job Description

Official Title:
Dean of MTSS and Data Strategy Cirrus Academy is a K-8 State Charter School Summary Description of Classification The MTSS, Data Collections, and Testing Coordinator supports academic and operational success by leading the implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), managing student data systems, and coordinating all state and local assessments. This role ensures that instructional decisions are data-driven, interventions are effective, and all testing and reporting requirements are met in alignment with charter and state expectations. Minimum Qualification Standards Key Responsibilities MTSS Leadership (K-8 Focus) Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of the school-wide MTSS framework for grades K-8. Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to develop and monitor Tier I, II, and III academic and behavioral interventions. Facilitate regular MTSS/data team meetings with grade-level teams. Support teachers in progress monitoring, intervention planning, and differentiation. Ensure fidelity of implementation across elementary and middle grades. Coordinate with special education, ESOL, and support services to align interventions. Data Collection & Reporting Oversee all student data systems, including academic, behavioral, and attendance data. Ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports to the state, authorizer, and charter network (if applicable). Analyze student performance trends (by grade level, subgroup, and subject area) to guide school improvement efforts. Develop clear, user-friendly data dashboards and reports for staff and leadership. Train teachers and staff on data use and progress monitoring tools. Maintain compliance with FERPA and data privacy requirements. Assessment & Testing Coordination Coordinate all aspects of state-mandated assessments (e.g., Milestones or equivalent), benchmark assessments, and internal testing programs. Develop and manage the annual testing calendar for K-8. Train staff on test administration procedures, accommodations, and test security. Ensure compliance with all state and charter accountability requirements. Organize testing logistics, including scheduling, materials, and technology readiness. Analyze and present testing results to inform instruction and school improvement planning. Additional Responsibilities Support school leadership with accountability reporting and charter performance goals. Assist in developing school improvement plans based on data findings. Serve as a liaison between the school and state/district testing and data offices. Provide professional development aligned to MTSS, assessment literacy, and data-driven instruction. Support grant reporting or federal program data requirements (if applicable). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Data Analysis, or related field (Master's preferred). Valid teaching certification (Georgia certification preferred for charter alignment). Ideal certification would include Teacher Support and Coaching Endorsement and Multi-Tiered System of Supports Facilitator Endorsement. Experience working in a K-8 school setting. Strong knowledge of
MTSS/RTI
frameworks and intervention strategies. Experience with student assessment coordination and data systems. Familiarity with charter school accountability and performance frameworks is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced charter environment. Effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Directly impacts student achievement through data-driven instruction. Supports accountability measures tied to charter renewal and performance goals. Help build a strong, responsive intervention system for diverse learners. High attention to detail, especially in compliance and reporting. Proficiency in student information systems, assessment platforms, and data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, dashboards).

$75,000.00 - $84,855.62 per year
