Job Description

Description:
The Director of Admissions works in conjunction with the Division Heads facilitating admissions to Mt. Bethel Christian Academy and in making connections between prospective and current families/students with the school. The objective of the position is to draw, enroll, and retain mission-fit students.
Requirements:
  • Full agreement with MBCA's Statement of Faith & Doctrinal Statements, passion for Christian schooling, and actively practice an authentic Christian faith
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Marketing, Education, Public Relations, Business, etc.); Master's degree in relevant field is preferred
  • Experience at MBCA or private Christian school

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to interact well with others, including new people
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Data driven
  • Proficient in use of software and applications, including Google Suite products
  • Professional in appearance
  • Understanding of marketing principles as they relate to admissions
Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute forward-thinking, strategic admission and enrollment policies and practices
  • Attract and recruit mission-appropriate families whose child will benefit from MBCA's unique culture and programming
  • Manage and maintain appropriate admission statistics and evaluate new student progress to monitor the effectiveness of admissions processes
  • Track and manage prospective students from application to enrollment
  • Analyze data to identify trends that impact enrollment outcomes and provide meaningful reporting to the Head of School and the Board of Trustees to inform decision-making
  • Achieve the enrollment goals set in partnership with the Board of Trustees and Head of School
  • Welcome prospective families to MBCA by hosting regular open houses and other events and speaking as needed at each
  • Develop and engage in strategic partnerships with other organizations designed to increase enrollment and visibility
  • Recruit and manage student and parent ambassadors
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment, marketing, and communication plans to reach targeted audiences
  • Manage, maintain, and administer aspects of the School SEVIS certification, including issuing I-20 Visas for international students in conjunction with the Upper School Division Head
  • Manage the Admission database or Student Information System and associated enrollment contracts
  • Conduct all aspects of position using best practices for each component, keeping up on latest trends and strategies in the admissions field
  • Coordinate development of Admission materials with Marketing & Communications Department
  • Attend all Admission Events
  • Use software tools for project management (Student Information Systems and/or CRM) and follow-up tracking
  • Communicate clearly and enthusiastically to all staff and prospective students and their families
  • Foster high ethical standards, integrity, and respect for colleagues, alumni, parents and students throughout the admission process
  • Be sensitive to economic, cultural, and other matters in the enrollment of a diverse student body
  • Represent MBCA, its mission, and its leadership
  • Engage in long-range plan while managing the daily details of implementation
  • Supervise personnel in the Admission Office
  • Participate in Admin Leadership Team meetings
