The mission of Professional Education (PE) at the University of Idaho is to provide learning opportunities to non-traditional students including the state's workforce (particularly K-12 educators), Vandal alumni, and adult learners seeking to reskill or upskill. Through current research and consumer demands, PE seeks to adapt the higher education model to meet the modern day consumer where they are. PE will be a high enrollment/revenue program.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible to assist the Director of Experience by ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience for students. Major responsibilities include replying to the center's email and phone inquiries from customers nationwide; offering solutions and advising in a timely manner; evaluating course discussion board posts; mailing transcripts; and contributing to a team effort. The Associate Director provides the center with excellent customer service and ensures that the customer is assisted in a timely manner throughout the entire student experience including registration, throughout their course, and when requesting transcripts.
Required Experience:
One year of related work experience in higher education One year experience in a customer support role
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in related field
Required Other:
Ability to work nonstandard hours including weekends and holidays, when needed
Additional Preferred:
Strong organizational skills Strong communication skills Work productively within a team
Education:
Master's in related field Experience in: Online or distance education Advising students in higher education K-12 education
