Job Description

Instructional Coach/Dean of Students This position will involve the successful candidate serving as an Instructional Coach for 55% of the time and as a Dean of Students for 45% of the time. Job Summary Duties for Instructional Coach (55%): This successful candidate will assist the school improvement team, principal and teachers to provide direct support and assistance in the classroom in the use of the instructional model and effective instructional strategies, the use of data to improve student achievement, and instruction aligned to state and district-identified standards. Emphasis will be placed on providing content knowledge and resources to staff about learning and teaching literacy to help teachers improve students' skills in reading and writing to improve student achievement in all content areas. Duties for Dean of Students (45%): The Dean of Students serves as a key instructional and student-support leader within the high school. This position works collaboratively with students, staff, families, administrators, and community partners to create a safe, supportive, and academically rigorous learning environment. The Dean of Students provides leadership in student engagement, attendance, behavior support, instructional improvement, intervention systems, and school culture while assisting with the day-to-day administration of the school. The successful candidate will foster positive relationships, support high-quality instruction, promote student achievement, and help ensure that all students have access to meaningful educational opportunities that prepare them for future success.
Qualifications:
Must meet Idaho certification - standard secondary endorsement preferred. All recommendations for hire are tentative offers. Employment is contingent upon board approval, and successful completion of a federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
