Job Description

Position Summary The Vice Principal at Pinecrest Academy supports the Principal in providing instructional leadership, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring the effective daily operation of the school. This role focuses on student achievement, staff support, behavior systems, and maintaining a safe, structured learning environment aligned with the school's mission and values. Key Responsibilities Instructional Leadership Support the implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices Assist in analyzing student achievement data to guide instructional decisions Participate in classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers Help coordinate professional development aligned to school goals School Culture & Climate Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment Support and reinforce school-wide behavior expectations Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families Lead initiatives that strengthen student engagement and character development Student Discipline & Support Manage student behavior and discipline in a fair and consistent manner Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and families to support student needs Oversee intervention systems (MTSS/RTI, attendance, behavior plans) Ensure proper documentation and compliance with school and state policies Operations & Management Assist in daily school operations, including supervision of students and staff Coordinate schedules, supervision duties, and school events as assigned Help oversee safety procedures, drills, and emergency protocols Support hiring, onboarding, and evaluation processes for staff Family & Community Engagement Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and concerns Support parent involvement initiatives and school events Serve as a liaison between the school and community partners Qualifications Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field Valid state administrative certification Previous teaching experience required; leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of instructional best practices and student behavior systems Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Key Competencies Leadership and team collaboration Problem-solving and decision-making Conflict resolution Data-driven instruction Time management and organization Work Environment 10.5 month position with occasional evening events Active presence throughout the school (classrooms, hallways, events) Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and responsiveness
Pay:
