Job Description
Assistant Residence Director/Wellness Coordinator Willowbrook Management Inc. is a premier provider of dementia care to older adults in the Effingham, Vandalia and Marshall communities. Willowbrook Management Inc. has been a provider of dementia care for over 13 years. We are currently looking for a premier candidate to serve in a management capacity. The Asst. Residence Director/Wellness Coordinator will serve under the direction of the Residence Director for our Effingham and Vandalia locations.
Duties:
- Assist the Residence Director in the day-to-day operational duties at two site locations. (Effingham and Vandalia Illinois)
- Be an licensed practical nurse or registered nurse in the state of Illinois.
- Shared oversight of the nursing/care staff assignments in two locations.
- Assure medical records and documentation is completed as required by state regulations.
- Serve as a resource for residents and families, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts as needed.
- Collaborate with Residence Director on areas of operation such as hiring staff, care services to residents, regulatory compliance (both state and local) and any other duties assigned by Residence Director or Corporate Management staff.
- Enforce residential policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
- Conduct regular inspections of residential facilities and operational day-to-day duties to ensure resident care and facility cleanliness is being met.
- Serve as an on-call staff member, responding to emergencies, staffing issues or critical incidents outside of regular business hours.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with dementia care residents in an residential setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents with dementia and their family members
- Knowledge of best nursing and care practices in a long-term setting.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility in work schedule if deemed necessary.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$28.00- $30.
