Job Description
Mirai Casting - Effingham, IL 2nd Shift Team Lead Assists the Shift Supervisor in keeping production lines running and provides leadership / assistance to line personnel as needed.
- Understands and enforces PPE and other safety requirements.
- Responds quickly to Machine Operator needs by assisting with Machine Operator training on established floor control methods and additional assistance as necessary.
- Understands customer quality expectations and assist in maintaining our quality system.
- Ability to make and verify machine offsets according to procedures.
- Ability to set-up and operate product lines.
- Understands and explains documents such as line procedures and general production policies.
- Assist in maintaining clean and safe work environment.
- Understands and assist in maintaining tool change procedures.
- Covers Machine Operator and Supervisor absences as needed.
- Assist in maintaining 6S requirements.
- Assist in enforcing quality procedures.
- Understand and assist lines in meeting company goals for efficiency and scrap.
- Assist in the containing dimensionally deficient products and sorting defective parts according to our Containment policy.
- Team Leads report directly to the Shift Supervisor on his/her shift assisting with leadership on the shift.
- Ability to assume supervisory responsibilities in the Supervisor's absence.
- Completes tasks as assigned by the shift Supervisor. High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
- Solid work history.
