Andrea Brin Job Summary/Basic Functions The Associate Director of Appalachian Heartlands Talent Search at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) supports the program director in managing a federally funded TRIO project that helps middle school, high school, and adult learners from disadvantaged backgrounds pursue higher education.Minimum Qualifications Education:
Master's Degree Social Work, Education, or related field.Experience:
Five years experience working in education, social work, or other related fieldLicensure & Certifications:

Job Duties:
40%- Provide strategic oversight of the ETS Programming unit in daily operations to include recruitment and application review, curriculum development, curriculum facilitation, analysis of processes and increase efficiencies for meeting program objectives.
- (Essential) 20%
- Stay informed of higher education trends and secondary graduation requirements. Responsible for applying federal, state and university regulations to meet program objectives and compliance. Establish best practices, deliver trainings, maintain the programming portion of the policies and procedures manuals for the department.

- Assist Project Director with program administration and budget in regard to program services and planning activities/events.
- (Essential) 10%
- Assists the Director in the preparation/presentation of Federal and University reports, creating data presentations for Target Area and University constituents to better inform stakeholders of the programs impact.

- Serve as the unit's liaison to build relationships within the target area communities, schools and partnering agencies.

- Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
