Job Description

Reporting to the University Registrar, the Associate Registrar for Scheduling provides subject matter expertise in the areas of academic calendars, class scheduling, space management, and transfer course articulations.

Maintain university academic calendars Manage university scheduling software and serve as primary contact for university scheduling software Schedule classes needing space in the university classroom pool in a conflict free manner Schedule events for departments and faculty in a conflict free manner Assist the Registrar's Office and Student Affairs in general with any special projects as needed or determined by the University Registrar and/or Vice President of Student Affairs Serve as primary backup for the Associate Registrar and Assistant Registrar for Course Management Ensure compliance with courses meeting minimum instructional time Coordinate with colleges on academic scheduling Present to individual colleges and the university at large on scheduling and space data as requested Manage global transfer course articulations Support front desk, answering phones and assisting walk-ins as needed Serve on committees as needed Serve on faculty senate as needed on a rolling basis Other duties as assigned Minimum Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline. Course work related to Education Public Administration or Data Analytics preferred. A minimum of two years related administrative higher education program and student support experience. Proficiency in Microsoft and Google products, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, GMAIL, Google Sheets, and Google Docs Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and multi-task efficiently and effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Additional Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of higher education accreditation standards and reporting responsibilities. Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional higher education policies and practices. Prior experience working with university ERP systems, especially Ellucian Colleague. Physical Requirements Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accomodations.
