Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Teaching Vacancy for the 2026- 2027 School Year The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.
Position:
Private Music Lesson Program Supervisor:
Chelmsford Community Education General Description:
Working with the Coordinator of Fine Arts and Community Education office, the Program Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
  • Update/ create all program activities in our online database as needed. This includes (but is not limited to) creating program activities, scheduling additional class time, and processing cancellations as the need arises.
  • Coordinate the schedule for all private music lessons.
  • Providing registration support to the community as needed.
  • Act as the point person for Music Instructors.
  • Coordinating and overseeing room usage rentals.
  • Creating google documents for instructors to report lessons for payroll purposes.
  • Communicating program public relations/ advertising through the Community Education Office.
  • Communicating with parents/ guardians as needed.
  • Organizing the Annual Recital and booking space at appropriate recital venue.
  • Recruiting teachers and supervising the music lessons for Summer, Fall, and Winter/Spring class sessions.
  • Schedule piano maintenance as needed.
  • Meet quarterly with the Coordinator of the Fine Arts and the Director of Chelmsford Community Education.
QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate degree and knowledge of Chelmsford Public Schools' music curriculum/program preferred. Proficiency with computers/technology.
REPORTS TO
Director of Community Education STIPEND:
$3902 prorated based on start date
HOURS:
From July 1, 2026, through July 30, 2027, afternoons and evenings as schedule requires- approximately 1 to 3 hours. There is the possibility of increased hours during enrollment (September and January).

QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate degree and knowledge of Chelmsford Public Schools' music curriculum/program
