We are seeking a dedicated Dean of Students for the 2026 to 2027 school year. This position is ideal for experienced educators who want to deepen their classroom impact, as well as individuals beginning a career in education who are passionate about literacy and helping students grow as readers and writers.

Dean of Students Job DescriptionThe Dean of Students is responsible for leading and maintaining a positive, safe, and orderly school environment. This role oversees student discipline, supports strong school culture, and ensures consistent implementation of behavioral expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and enforce the schools discipline system fairly and consistentlyPromote a positive school culture aligned with the schools valuesSupport students social, emotional, and behavioral developmentCollaborate with teachers, families, and staff to address student needsTrack and analyze discipline data to improve practicesLead restorative practices and conflict resolution when appropriate

Qualifications:

Experience in school leadership or student support rolesStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to handle discipline issues with fairness and consistencyCommitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful school environmentMinimum requirements include: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Strong background in English, literature, writing, or education is preferred.
