Job Description

Summary of Purpose The Community Education Manager develops, implements, and is responsible for non-credit educational programs and outreach initiatives designed to provide accessible programs, resources and classes that inspire life-long learning, foster curiosity and enrich the community. The role builds partnerships with local organizations, manages programming and ensures that educational offerings align with organizational goals and community interests and needs. This position is expected to work in a multi-cultural and diverse working environment. Typical Duties This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required: 1. Identifies community programming of high interest and potential; hires and assigns Casual Instructors; ensures contract compliance. 2. Supervises staff; develops project budgets; designs and monitors program reporting and accounting processes. 3. Ensure content is inclusive, accessible and aligned with best practices. 4. Coordinate promotional efforts with Marketing and Communications team. 5. Coordinate schedules and assignments with Community Education team, coordinating internally across departments. 6. Track participation, outcomes and impact metrics to evaluate impact and potential areas of growth. 7. Use data to improve programs, efficiency and demonstrate value. 8. Make recommendations on future programming and geographic areas of expansion. 9. Performs other related duties, as assigned. 10. Ability to work additional hours, as needed. Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge of community engagement and programming with proven experience Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to build partnerships and engage diverse communities Commitment to customer service and teamwork Data analysis and reporting skills Leadership and team management abilities Program planning and project management expertise Excellent verbal and written skills Skills in organization Minimum Education and Experience
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business, Higher Education, Adult and Continuing Education, or other related field.
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of experience in community programming, adult education, employee training, or higher education.
