GENERAL SUMMARY
The Fund Development Coordinator supports the organization's fundraising, donor relations, grants, sponsorships, marketing, community engagement, and administrative development efforts. Working closely with the Executive Director, this position helps strengthen relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, volunteers, and community partners while coordinating fundraising campaigns, special events, grant activities, and donor stewardship to advance the mission of Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw. This position serves as a key partner to the Executive Director, helping build the relationships and resources that enable Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw to serve families during times of medical crisis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising & Donor Relations Assist with donor communications, outreach, and stewardship, including thank-you letters, follow-up, and relationship tracking Help identify, cultivate, and secure sponsorship opportunities Maintain accurate donor, sponsorship, and fundraising records in the organization's database Coordinate direct mail, online giving campaigns, and other fundraising initiatives Support donor engagement efforts and community partnerships Recruit and coordinate volunteers and in-kind donors Assist with fundraising events and campaigns. Grant Support Research and identify grant opportunities Assist with preparing grant applications and supporting documentation Help track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and outcomes Coordinate collection of data and information needed for proposals and reports Events Work with Executive Director to plan annual fundraising event, including securing sponsorships and silent auction items Work with committee to delegate duties Coordinate volunteers Administrative & Executive Support Help manage communications and follow-up tasks Prepare board meeting packets and materials Assist the Executive Director with social media, newsletters, website updates, and other marketing communications Create invoices and maintain administrative records Organize electronic and physical files Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden Support general office operations and other duties as assigned Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Associate's Degree or at least two years of relevant work experience preferred Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED Experience Experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, customer service, communications, or related fields preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience with donor databases or CRM systems Grant writing or grant support experience Event coordination experience Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising and sponsorship development Technical Skills Proficient with Google Workspace, or ability to become proficient in three (3) months. Comfortable using online forms and electronic documentation systems Strong written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and basic mathematical proficiency Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Strong data management and recordkeeping abilities Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines effectively Comfortable communicating professionally with donors, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and diverse populations Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism in all interactions Other Qualifications Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced nonprofit environment and manage changing priorities Regular and reliable on site attendance is required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
