Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our Junior Varsity Bowling program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of bowling techniques and strategies, along with a passion for mentoring young athletes. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to foster a positive team environment, and a commitment to the development of each player both on and off the field. Responsibilities The duties of the Varsity Girls' Bowling Coach may include, but are not necessarily limited to: To develop, promote, and supervise all facets of high school bowling Promote a positive academic environment and encourage all athletes to strive for academic excellence Prepare and execute practice and game plans and strategies designed to bring success to the program Provide moral support and encouragement to student/athletes Establish and maintain community contacts, which enhance the success of the program Maintain and control the use of uniforms and equipment Assist with design and implementation of conditioning programs for students/athletes. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the media Develop a communication protocol, which keeps both parents and student/athletes aware of program status. . Establish and execute an awards program to recognize team and individual performance excellence Requirements Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or junior varsity level. Strong knowledge of bowling fundamentals, rules, and strategies. Excellent leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and school staff. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). A commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the soccer season. A background in physical education, sports management, or a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which may include bending, twisting, reaching, pushing or pulling, lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to approximately 40 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
