SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Athletic Support Staff plays an essential role in the successful operation of athletic events across multiple sports. Including volleyball, football, swim, soccer, basketball, hockey, gymnastics and lacrosse. This temporary position supports gameday operations in various capacities to ensure a positive experience for athletes, coaches, officials and spectators.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Athletic Support Staff may be assigned to one or more of the following duties:
Operate scoreboard and game clock
Announce lineups, scores, and game updates
Keep official scorebook or statistics
Serve as a line judge or libero tracker for volleyball
Operate shot clock for Basketball
Scan tickets and manage entry points
Provide event supervision and crowd management
Assist with event setup and tear down as needed
Collaborate with coaches, officials, and other event staff to ensure smooth operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Previous experience in athletics, event operations, or related roles preferred, but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand for extended periods of time during events
Ability to lift 25 pounds (equipment, supplies, etc.)
Comfortable working indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions
Tolerance for loud environments and large crowds
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Athletic events may be held indoors or outdoors depending on sport
Varying noise levels, including loud crowd environments, music, and announcements
Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions for outdoor sports
Team oriented atmosphere where flexibility and quick problem solving are important.

EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in athletics, event operations, or related roles preferred, but not required
