Catherine University invites applications for a part-time ASL Lab Coordinator position.

The ASL Lab Coordinator will:

Orient students to the ASL lab experience, including establishing a safe, supportive learning environment conducted solely in ASL. Design and prep immersion learning experiences for individual students' unique characteristics through classes, individual instruction, weekly events, and self-directed learning. Design and implement various language instruction and immersion objectives and experiences both face to face (on-campus) and virtually appropriate to ASL proficiency practice. Provide 1:1 students feedback on understanding Deaf culture and ASL language concepts discussed in their classes. Help students to identify and understand parameter errors in utilizing ASL. Maintain a direct line of communication with course instructors and the ASL program coordinator. Collect data and assesses the quality of the lab experience at the conclusion of the term.
