To instruct students in the fundamental skills and strategy necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the students. To upgrade his/her knowledge and skills through mentoring, observations, consultation, etc.Key responsibilities include:
Supervising the robotics team through their strategy, design, build, and competition process, providing guidance and instruction, and promoting sound engineering, safe practices, and professional behavior. Supporting and mentoring the student leaders in the FIRST Robotics program to become more thoughtful and effective in their work. Chaperoning team trips to workshops and competitions.REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must have a strong interest in science, engineering, math, and/or technology fields.REPORTS TO
