Program Director

Do you care about the future of todays youth? If yes, this may be the job for you. As Program Director, you would lead a small team of staff implementing activities and providing guidance to approximately 20 youth. Primary Function of the
Program Director:
Ensure a fun and safe environment for school-age youth. Plan, develop, oversee implementation and supervise programs and program staff in a school-age youth development setting. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of programs in the areas of Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles Skills/Knowledge Required for
Program Director:
Ability to be certified for up to 20 children: 30 college semester hours with six (6) of the hours in child-related courses; or 12 months experience with 6 college semester hours in child-related courses; or a CDA credential. A minimum of one year work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics. Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities. General computer skills for entering data into member management systems and reporting. Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (Club will provide this training as needed).
