Job Summary:
Provides process-related direction for the use and maintenance of enrollment and student records information systems, recommending process improvements and supervising processing staff to ensure high quality delivery of student registration services. Assists in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures for enrollment, student records, and the student information system. Assists in the development of enrollment and student records-focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives. Serves as the liaison among institutional stakeholder groups providing registration information and representing the interests of the unit. Review official transcripts from colleges, universities, and other educational institutions for transfer coursework. Enter transfer courses, credits, grades, and applicable equivalencies accurately into the student information system. Identify coursework requiring review by academic departments or faculty and coordinate the evaluation process. Communicate with students regarding the status and application of their transfer credits. Respond to inquiries from students, admissions personnel, academic advisors, faculty, and other university offices. Assist with resolving discrepancies involving transcripts, transfer coursework, credit hours, grades, or course equivalencies. Review transfer-credit information for accuracy and make appropriate corrections when necessary. Assist with maintaining and updating transfer-credit equivalency information and institutional databases. Maintain confidentiality and security of student education records in accordance with university policies and applicable federal and state regulations. Provide professional and courteous service to students from diverse educational backgrounds. Assist with reporting, audits, special projects, and other Registrar's Office functions as assigned
