A well-known client in Western NC is seeking a Coordinator of Alumni Engagement to build meaningful relationships with alumni, volunteers, donors, and community partners. This onsite role is ideal for a highly organized, customer-focused professional who enjoys event planning, relationship management, and community engagement. The position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow in alumni relations, fundraising, and advancement, including individuals with backgrounds in retail, hospitality, customer service, or nonprofit organizations. This is a direct hire opportunity.Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni, fostering long-term engagement and positive relationships. Develop and support alumni engagement initiatives that increase participation, volunteer involvement, and donor support. Coordinate alumni communications, including emails, newsletters, social media content, and event promotions. Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers for committees, events, mentoring programs, and other engagement opportunities. Act as staff liaison to the Alumni Board, coordinating meetings, materials, communications, and follow-up activities. Lead the planning and execution of major alumni and donor events, including homecoming celebrations, reunions, and fundraising galas. Manage event logistics, budgets, vendors, sponsorships, timelines, and attendee experiences. Conduct outreach and discovery meetings with alumni and supporters to identify engagement and philanthropic opportunities. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support organizational goals and community engagement efforts. Represent the organization at alumni, donor, and community events throughout the local area.Qualifications :
1+ years of experience in customer service, relationship management, event coordination, community outreach, fundraising, hospitality, retail, higher education, or a related field. Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Ability to travel locally throughout the county as needed; no overnight travel required.Benefits & Compensation:
