Announcement Summary Fayetteville Technical Community College is recruiting for a new member to join our Student Services Team and now accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Director of Financial Aid Services! The Assistant Director of Financial Aid Services provides exceptional customer services and financial aid support to current and prospective students. This position is responsible for assisting students and families throughout the financial aid process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, and supporting the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office. Provide exceptional customer service to students, families, faculty, and staff through all forms of communication- in person, virtual, phone, and email. Provide support and leadership for the Financial Aid Service Center Office, with emphasis on compliance with federal financial aid regulations and foster a positive, customer focused environment that supports student success. Assist families and students by providing comprehensive financial aid and payment options counseling, responding to financial aid inquires, and conducting financial aid presentations on campus and in the community. Provide financial literacy counseling and education to students, helping them understand financial aid awards, borrowing responsibilities, repayment obligations, and the long-term financial impact of educational funding decisions. Research and analyze specific problems in preparation of assigned reports. Provide supervision, coaching, and training to the financial aid advisors and student workers in the financial aid service center. Assist in maintaining the accurate up to date workflows in the Standard Operating Procedures Manual. Participate in selection of personnel, and review and monitor financial aid advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy with all state and federal policies and regulations. Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal financial aid criteria, rules, and regulations. Coordinate review of grant and scholarship applications with the Foundation and Business Office as assigned. (
Example:
Finish Line Grant) Assist the Senior Director of Financial Aid in monitoring and enforcing compliance of the Satisfactory Academic Progress policies for all students. Coordinate processing of professional judgments and satisfactory academic progress appeals. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with various campus departments including, but not limited to, academic advising, Business Office, Military and Veteran Programs, Registration and Records, and Strategic Community Initiatives. Plan and coordinate notifications to students for timely information related to financial aid via email, marketing, website, and other avenues of communication. Provide financial aid educational workshops and presentations to the community and within FTCC as requested. Provide support for financial aid and other Student Services activities which may require evening and weekend hours. Prepare reports assigned by the Senior Director of Financial Aid. Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal financial aid criteria, rules, and regulations. Research and analyze specific problems in the preparation of assigned reports. Assist with the development of efficient and reliable electronic data management systems. Assist with monitoring the awarding process to ensure accuracy and proper distribution of monies for eligible students. Coordinate the internal audit requirements of federal Title IV recipient records. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Three years of increasingly responsible experience involving the awarding and disbursement of financial assistance and at least one year of supervisory experience.
College Pay Scale:
Minimum starting salary $62,330 annually
