Essential Job Duties The Poole College of Management is seeking a strategic, data-driven Director of Undergraduate Admissions to lead recruitment, yield, and enrollment initiatives. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs, the Director will develop and implement strategies to attract and enroll a strong undergraduate student body while advancing the College's enrollment priorities. As the College's primary undergraduate admissions resource, you will collaborate with University Enrollment Management and Student Services (EMAS), College leadership, academic programs, Student Affairs, Marketing and Communications, Development, and external partners. You will also supervise professional and student staff, lead the Student Ambassador program, and manage an annual admissions budget of approximately $40,000. In this role, you will: Lead Recruitment and Yield Develop and execute first-year and transfer recruitment and yield strategies aligned with College enrollment goals. Lead prospective and admitted student events, information sessions, outreach campaigns, and recruitment programming. Build partnerships with schools, community colleges, community organizations, and pre-college programs to strengthen prospective student pipelines. Represent Poole College in university-wide recruitment and enrollment initiatives. Drive Data-Informed Enrollment Planning Analyze applicant, admission, enrollment, yield, and student profile data to identify trends and guide strategy. Provide College leadership with enrollment insights, recommendations, and opportunities. Establish measures to evaluate recruitment and yield effectiveness and refine strategies based on results. Track prospective student engagement and enrollment outcomes. Manage Admissions Programs and Systems Serve as the College's primary resource and subject-matter expert for the Slate admissions platform. Lead the Dean's Scholars selection process and recruitment activities connected to pre-college partnerships. Participate in admissions and enrollment committees, including the Global Scholarship Committee. Collaborate with Student Affairs and Advocacy to connect recruitment and enrollment efforts with student engagement. Lead People and Programs Supervise, mentor, and develop professional and student staff. Lead the Student Ambassador program, including selection, training, development, and engagement. Strengthen admissions processes, practices, and operations within the Office of Undergraduate Programs. Build Partnerships and Manage Resources Serve as a primary liaison with EMAS and represent Poole College on university enrollment initiatives and committees. Manage the undergraduate admissions budget and allocate resources to support recruitment and yield priorities. Collaborate across the College to advance enrollment goals and advise leadership on admissions trends, opportunities, and emerging needs. Other Responsibilities Active participation in unit programs and events (numerous evenings and weekends required). Assistance with academic advising as needed (registration advising sessions and orientations). Supervision of various student workers in office. Leader in website development. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Require post-baccalaureate credentials or a bachelor's degree plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Other Required Qualifications Proven ability to develop, implement, and assess strategic undergraduate recruitment, admissions, and yield initiatives. Leadership and management skills, including the ability to supervise staff, establish priorities, delegate responsibilities, and independently manage multiple programs and initiatives. Demonstrated ability to analyze admissions and enrollment data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable strategies and recommendations. Established ability to build collaborative relationships across organizational units and develop partnerships with schools, community colleges, community-based organizations, and other recruitment partners. Organizational, project management, and decision-making skills, including the ability to manage budgets, systems, processes, and competing priorities with a high degree of autonomy. Preferred Qualifications Progressive professional experience in undergraduate admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, student services, or a closely related higher education area. Experience developing and executing data-informed recruitment and yield strategies within a complex college or university environment. Proficiency supervising professional and/or student staff and providing leadership for a recruitment, admissions, or student-facing function. Familiarity using admissions CRM and enrollment-management systems, preferably Slate, and leveraging technology to support recruitment, communication, and assessment. Expertise developing recruitment pipelines and programs that engage students from a broad range of backgrounds, communities, and educational pathways.
