Admissions Director Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation | Charlotte, NC Join Our Team! Position Description The Admissions Director is responsible for leading and coordinating the facility's admissions process while helping support census growth and ensuring a smooth transition for new residents. This position works closely with hospital and community referral sources, facility leadership, nursing, and other departments to ensure prospective admissions are reviewed efficiently and new residents receive a welcoming and well-coordinated transition into the facility. What You Will Do Lead and coordinate the facility's admissions process from referral through admission Review and manage incoming referrals and assist with determining appropriate admissions Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral and admissions information Work closely with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Business Office Manager, and other department leaders to review prospective admissions Coordinate communication regarding clinical, financial, and other admission requirements Make admissions recommendations to facility leadership based on available information Ensure required admission paperwork and signatures are obtained prior to admission Communicate new admission information to nursing, housekeeping, dietary, and other appropriate departments Coordinate room and bed assignments based on resident needs and facility availability Help ensure new residents and their families have a positive admissions experience Maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and other referral partners Follow up with referral sources and prospective residents in a timely and professional manner Monitor admissions activity, referral trends, and census opportunities Provide regular updates to facility leadership regarding referrals, pending admissions, and admissions activity Participate in facility tours and serve as a welcoming point of contact for prospective residents and families Support community outreach and relationship-building efforts that contribute to facility census growth Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling resident and referral information What You Need Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered Previous experience in healthcare admissions, skilled nursing, sales, marketing, or business development preferred Knowledge of the skilled nursing or post-acute healthcare environment is a plus Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with referral sources and community partners Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and facility leadership Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional presentation and strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems Commitment to providing excellent customer service and supporting quality resident care Highest level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality Why Join Ridge Valley?
