Bismarck State College is seeking a friendly, organized, and service-focused Admissions Assistant to join our Admissions and Enrollment Services team. This position serves as a key point of contact for prospective students, families, campus partners, and community members, helping ensure a welcoming and efficient admissions experience from first inquiry through enrollment. What You'll Do Admissions & Enrollment Services Support Serve as primary point of contact, responding to student, parent, campus, and community inquiries by phone, email, and in person. Provide accurate information about BSC programs, academic policies, admissions procedures, and enrollment services. Process applications for admission using Oracle/PeopleSoft and established procedures and guidelines. Review applications and supporting materials to ensure required documentation is complete and provide application status updates to prospective students. Prepare recruitment and acceptance correspondence and respond to inquiries from prospective students and their families. Coordinate campus tours using the electronic tour scheduler and assist with recruitment activities and events. Manage contact imports and uploads within CRM software, troubleshoot issues, and update student contact information. Retrieve and maintain student information using PeopleSoft and electronic imaging systems. Process and distribute mail and provide general office support as needed. Maintain confidentiality of student records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) . Miscellaneous Duties Participate in departmental and campus meetings and activities. Contribute ideas that improve processes, services, and the student experience. Perform other duties as assigned or required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate associate degree or two years of directly related work experience in a customer service position. Proficient in computer software programs (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, email & electronic calendar, and internet) and excellent keyboarding skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task and manage many different activities. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate tactfully and with an emphasis on good customer service to a variety of people. Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Disciplined and able to maintain confidentiality.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate associate degree. Three years of experience in a comparable position in higher education. Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft student administration software.BENEFITS COMPENSATION
