Athletic Department Student Workers -
Work Study OnlyPosition Summary:
The Athletics Department is seeking dependable and motivated student employees to assist with a variety of athletic operations throughout the academic year. Multiple positions are available, and responsibilities will vary depending on the student's interests, experience, availability and departmental needs.

Students may work in one or more of the following areas:

Game Day ManagementAssist athletics staff with the preparation and operation of home athletic events.
Duties may include:
  • Set up and take down equipment and event areas.
  • Assist with ticketing, admissions or crowd management.
  • Support officials, teams and game-day personnel.
  • Prepare facilities before and after events.
  • Assist with other game-day operations as assigned.
ConcessionsAssist with concession operations during home athletic events.
Duties may include:
  • Set up and closing concession areas.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages.
  • Operate a cash register or point-of-sale system.
  • Restocking concession items and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Provide friendly customer service to spectators and guests.
Women's Basketball ManagerProvide support to the women's basketball program during practices, games and other team activities.
Duties may include:
  • Assist with practice and game preparation.
  • Set up and organize equipment.
  • Assist with water, towels, basketballs and other team needs.
  • Help with team operations and other duties assigned by the coaching staff.
Sports Information AssistantAssist with the promotion and coverage of athletics events and programs.
Duties may include:
  • Assist with game statistics and event information.
  • Support live-streaming, scoreboard or game-day media operations.
  • Assist with photography, video or social media content.
  • Help prepare or organize athletic information and promotional materials.
  • Other sports information duties as assigned.
Equipment AssistantAssist athletics staff with the organization and maintenance of athletic equipment and facilities.
Duties may include:
  • Organize, distribute and collect athletic equipment.
  • Assist with laundry for athletic teams.
  • Assist with inventory.
  • Prepare equipment for practices and competitions.
  • Maintain clean and organized equipment and storage areas.
  • Assist athletics staff with other equipment-related duties.
Weight Room AssistantAssist with the general operation and upkeep of the athletics weight room.
Duties may include:
  • Monitor the weight room during assigned hours.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized and safe environment.
  • Cleaning and organizing equipment.
  • Assist with basic facility setup and upkeep.
  • Report equipment or facility concerns to athletics staff.
Qualifications for these dutiesSuccessful applicants must:
  • Be dependable, responsible and able to work independently.
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be willing to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a professional attitude when working with students, staff, coaches, officials and visitors.
  • Knowledge of or interest in athletics is helpful but is not required for all positions.
ScheduleHours will vary depending on the position, athletics schedules and the student's availability. Some positions may require evening and weekend hours for practices, games and special events.
