Rehab Preauthorization Specialist - Rehab Services

Summary:

The Preauthorization Specialist initiates requests for authorization of patient services, verifies benefits, data enters/documents authorizations, and communicates status of authorizations to staff. Performs clerical duties as needed. Also p erforms secretarial duties including typing, scheduling, filing, answering telephones and making copies. Completes departmental statistics, patient charges and related duties. Greets, assists, and directs patients, visitors, and other callers in the department.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology preferred. 2-3 years

Schedule:

Full-Time; Monday-Friday, days
