Student Success & Stability Coach Department DASH Essential Functions The Student Success & Stability Coach in Durango's Advancement and Support Hub (DASH) provides individualized support to students experiencing financial or personal hardships that may impact their ability to persist in college. This role focuses on helping students develop sustainability plans, build financial wellness, and connect with campus and community resources to stabilize their situations and support continued enrollment and academic success. The role also supports efforts to improve financial wellness opportunities for all students, including workshop design, resource optimization planning, and campus-wide learning and communication. Additional responsibilities include contributing to DASH operations, such as event planning, strategic planning efforts, and other duties as assigned.NOTE:
This is a part-time position with temporary funding through December 2026. Continued employment beyond that time is contingent on securing additional funding. Work Schedule Part-time during business hours. Maximum of 18 hours per week.Additional Duties Required Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Sociology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field.Required Experience:
One year of experience working in an educational setting such as teaching and/or student support programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.Required Additional Qualifications:
Commitment to working with all students, as well as other faculty and staff partners across the university campus and community.Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education:
Master's degree in a related field (counseling, psychology, student personnel, social work, education, student affairs, etc.).Preferred Experience:
Experience in higher education or student services. Knowledge of community resources and public assistance programs. Background in financial coaching, case management, or crisis support.
