Job Description

Responsibilities :
Will have responsibility to provide setup and management of financial aid PeopleSoft system components, processes, and annual aid year rollover. Will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues in cooperation with College IT support team and NeSIS Technical Team. Will assist with implementation, administration, and oversight of Title IV, state, and institutional fund distribution and award financial aid to students eligible for scholarships, state and federal grants, work study, and loans. Will be responsible for auditing and reconciling financial aid eligibility and packaging financial aid awards based on College and federal guidelines. Will counsel prospective students, current students, and families on financial aid applications. Will also assist the Director with all aspects of financial processes and will assist with training and support of Financial Aid team. This position is non-exempt from overtime for FLSA.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree or related work experience required. Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of two years' prior experience in a Financial Aid office and prior experience with PeopleSoft are strongly preferred. Attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational and problem-solving ability is also strongly preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and be able to effectively interact with a variety of internal and external constituencies. This position is subject to veterans' preference. This position is covered by the NSCPA bargaining unit. Offers of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory results of a background check.
