The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Bed Board Associate is responsible for placing patients in the appropriate bed and coordinating with clinical leadership in facilitation of continuous patient throughput from all points of entry and internal transfer. As Bed Board Associate, a typical day might include the following: Maintaining excellent communication with physicians, clinical teams, and environmental services to ensure timely patient placements, discharges, and addressing all issues delaying processes Maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of patient placement, ensuring the optimate usage of inpatient bed resources Maintaining accuracy of bed board system and complete daily reconciliation to ensure appropriate bed assignments and accurate accommodation types Utilizing bed tracking system to indicate the status of the bed, including the tracking of clean and unclean beds and isolation rooms Reviewing all assigned patients to ensure timely movement of patients; escalate transport delays or cancellations Attending daily bed management huddles as applicable, provide status and escalate any issues Taking initiative within work responsibilities, providing feedback or suggesting improvements that can make a difference for quality, safety, or service excellence Maintaining high level of accuracy and quality in accordance with the department's established goals The Scheduler role might be for you if: You communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families and healthcare professionals You stay organized and can effectively manage multiple priorities You enjoy coordinating schedules and solving challenges You are detailed-oriented You respond in timely manner to all office and schedule inquiries You work collaboratively with team members You are comfortable using electronic medical systems, including EPIC To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School diploma and equivalent. Preferably with one (1) clerical experience in health care and medical terminology. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills. Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines. Must demonstrate willingness to learn. Per Diem position, as needed, able to work from 11:00pm-7:00am.
