Month Job Summary:
The Coordinator for Greeks and Student Life Programming is an integral member of the Student Affairs team and will contribute to student and campus life on the Florham Campus. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, implementing campus-wide programming and events, and Greek Life advising. The Coordinator, working closely with the Division of Student Affairs team, develops and implements necessary programs to promote an active campus life and foster positive inclusive communities; creates and supports activities for students; provides support to students; and completes general central office administrative duties. This is a live-in position that reports to the Assistant Dean of Students for Operations and Programming.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree required in related field of study. Master's degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Management, or related field preferred; 2. Related experience with fraternity and sorority life required. 3. Working knowledge of student development theory and practice. 4. Strong communication skills and ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks. 5. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and administrators. 6. Must be available to work non-standard hours as required, including evenings and weekends. Incumbents are required to live on campus. 7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
