Employment Opportunity Yates Leadership Complex Center Manager About the

New Mexico Military Institute:

The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) is a state-supported, co- educational institution offering college preparatory education at the high school and junior college levels. With a student body of up to 1,000 cadets, NMMI provides a comprehensive academic experience complemented by Junior and Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The high school curriculum is fully accredited and prepares students for higher education. The junior college program facilitates cadet transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, NMMI houses the Intermediate Preparatory Academy (IPA) for grades 6-8.

Position:

The YLCC Manager is responsible for all resources applicable to the Complex in accordance with policies and procedures specific to the Institute and the Corps of Cadets. They are bound to the standards of best practice and safety identified by the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). This is a 12-month, exempt, full-time position. The salary range is $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year. The job description is available upon request.

Tasks:
Essential Skills:
  • Actively Promotes the Corps-wide Leadership and
  • The ability to obtain knowledge of the Institute's Character Development Program (LCDP) mission, organization, function, purpose and goals, and
  • Provides experiential learning opportunities to the operations. Corps of Cadets.
  • Demonstrates the ability to positively engage with a
  • Serves as an academic instructor for cadets enrolled in diverse population of cadets, faculty, staff, and the Leadership Education and Development Course and individuals and organizations external to the Institute. physical education, and oversees the student challenge
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate complex ideas course and facilitators. in written and oral communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
