The CARA (Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act) Program Manager will: Oversee and manage the responsibilities mandated per statute to implement a supportive program to infants and families living with substance use; Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the CARA Navigation Program and the collaboration necessary between sister agencies within the state. How does it get done? The CARA Program Manager is responsible for: Participating in the establishment and maintenance of procedures; Providing oversight to program management supervisory personnel; Dealing with challenges requiring the search for solutions that are typically found through experience or research into solutions to similar problems; Determining financial, employment, and related resources needed to carry out assigned objectives. Who are the customers? CARA Participants; Health Care Authority (HCA); Medical Assistance Division (MAD). Ideal Candidate CARA Participants; Health Care Authority (HCA); Medical Assistance Division (MAD). Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
