Education Manager Junior Achievement of Nevada Sparks, NV Job Details Full-time $45,000 - $55,000 a year 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Teamwork Interpersonal skills Volunteer management Driver's License Time management Full Job Description SUMMARY The Education Manager - Traditional Programs is responsible for overseeing the delivery, management, and quality assurance of Junior Achievement's traditional K-12 programs, with a strong focus on educator relationships, program staff supervision, and volunteer support. This position manages the implementation of programs including JA Our City (3rd grade), JA Our Region (4th grade), More Than Money, It's My Future, Career Success, and Company Pop-Up currently, but can change due to requests and/or executive leadership. Additionally, the Education Manager leads the coordination of special events such as JA Inspire and SWTBF (Swimming With The Big Fish). This role upholds quality standards for the organization, ensures adherence to program models, maintains strong educator relationships, ensures alignment with grant requirements, and supports program expansion through strategic partnerships with schools, districts, and community organizations. The Education Manager will also be cross-trained in other education programs and will support alternative delivery methods such as after-school clubs, summer camps, private school partnerships, and collaborative agency programming. The Education Manager is a spokesperson representing the organization to both internal and external constituencies, primarily volunteers and educational partners.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Programs - Programs can be added or retired by executive leadership at any time. Oversee the implementation and delivery of traditional JA programs
  • Leads coordination and execution of traditional program events: JA Inspire SWTBF (Swimming With The Big Fish)
  • Supervises staff under the Traditional Education umbrella, providing coaching, scheduling support, and performance feedback.
  • Manages program quantity and quality across all traditional program offerings and events.
  • Implement and ensures collection of pre and post tests for all applicable JA programs, teacher surveys, and provides regular reporting as required by executive leadership.
  • Creates recap reports for each completed program documenting successes, opportunities, and challenges, and submits these to the Director of Community Engagement.
  • Implements training programs and training evaluations as needed, primarily with teachers and school staff.
  • Coordinates scheduling and delivery of programs in collaboration with schools and the Education Coordinator.
  • Assures adherence to JA USA program models and files all needed program variances. Ensures all school contracts are signed by authorized personnel and file all class registration forms.
  • Develops and implements plans for educator engagement including class visits, newsletters, phone calls, and follow-up sessions.
  • Solicits feedback through evaluation tools for continuous improvement.
  • Develops and delivers presentations to support the strategic expansion of programs to schools and prospective educators.
  • Cultivate and renew partnerships with schools and teachers to ensure continued program participation. Submits forecasts and progress reports to the Director of Community Engagement.
  • Maintains program records in the CRM system and manages correspondence with educators and community partners.
  • Places program material orders with the Director of Community Engagement as needed. Ensures timely delivery of all program materials to schools.
  • Attends education-related committee meetings or events as requested and prepares supporting documentation.
  • Represents JASN at community outreach events such as school district functions, career fairs, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Implements grant-funded program objectives and tracks required evaluation data.
  • Represents JASN to schools, youth-serving organizations, and corporate/community partners to promote the mission and highlight opportunities for engagement through sponsorship, program partnerships, or community outreach.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent job-related experience in education, nonprofit leadership, or youth programming. Minimum two years of program coordination or team management experience preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills; public speaking experience required. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with diverse communities including educators, students, and volunteers. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; Blackbaud CRM preferred. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance are required. Ability to work in multiple environments, lift up to 25 lbs., and stand or sit for extended periods. Successful completion of civil, criminal, and motor vehicle background checks. Must pass a drug test.
