REPORTS TO:
Registrar SUMMARY The Assistant Registrar supports the full scope of operations within the Registrar's Office, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of student academic records and serves as second in charge of the Registrar's Office. Under the direction of the Registrar this position assists with the administration of student records, registration, enrollment, grades, transcripts, and degree auditing while supporting the use and continuous improvement of student information systems and related technologies. The Assistant Registrar contributes to the development, implementation, and documentation of policies, procedures, technology and business processes to ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements. In collaboration with campus partners, this role supports data reporting, records management, and workflow optimization, and provides guidance and service to students, faculty, and staff to ensure consistent, efficient, and student-centered Registrar services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute procedures, coordinate systems, and serve as a transcript evaluator for the College. Evaluate potential transfer credit from other institutions, identify Cayuga Community College equivalents, document the equivalents and coordinate the entry of the credit in to the college's SIS. Evaluate transcripts sent to Cayuga and enter all transfer credit in the college's SIS. Evaluate Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) credit requests and enter all credit in the college's SIS. Assist in the completion of the college catalog. Under the direction of the Registrar coordinate Registrar-relevant degree audit system activities including programming for all new and revised programs, certificate and microcredentials. Work to ensure that the degree evaluation provides students, faculty and advisors with an accurate means to track progress towards degree requirements. Maintain accurate records in the college's SIS including the creation and maintenance of new courses, sections, programs, certificates and microcredentials. Serve as the college's lead representative for Reverse Transfer initiatives through SUNY. Assist in the processing and tracking of SUNY Cross Registration including the release of transcripts. Responsible for submission of enrollment, graduation and student to degree reports to the National Student Clearinghouse. Assist in the graduation clearance process and in the production and certification of degrees and awards. Contribute to the review of college policies and procedures; update internal office procedures, registration documents and other official publications. Review and approve 24 credit hour students for Admissions office. Assist with the preparation of the registration-related portions of the web, building of the schedule of classes, and the day-to-day processing including section cancellations, creations, changes and assigning classrooms. Assist in the administration of the student academic records process including creation, maintenance, update, security, and integrity of official student academic records in all formats for credit students as recorded in the student information and digital imaging systems. Assist in the registration set up including all registration term setup and end of semester processing. This includes the running of academic standing and the notification to students of any accolades or deficiencies. Assist in the review of the college commencement program. This includes the review and inclusion of Honors, PTK, Veteran's, Names for Program, Latin Honors. Stay informed of all curriculum requirements from SUNY including General Education, ensuring all programs and degrees meet the requirements and are programmed and published with accurate requirements. Serve on cross-functional teams, workgroups and committees at the request of the Registrar. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. At least 1 year of full-time professional experience in higher education. An understanding of and experience with a student information system (e.g., Banner, DegreeWorks). Demonstrable experience in process improvement. Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills are essential, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills and experience managing data and database systems are essential to meeting the responsibilities of the position. Superior attention to detail, the ability to multitask.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university. Experience in course building, classroom scheduling, registration, and other areas of a full-service Registrar's Office. Experience in Transfer Articulation system maintenance, transcript processing and academic history processes. Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Argos).
