The Arts Center is internationally recognized as a leader in fiber arts, including an annual juried art quilt show considered one of the top five in the country, an annual 2-week quilt conference that attracts more than 150 participants, and a wide range of fiber arts classes and workshops throughout the year. The Visitor Services & Membership Associate is a fulltime position (Tues-Sat, and occasional evenings) and works closely with all program areas. As the primary point of contact for visitors, this position requires excellent customer service skills, the capacity to convey information about all Art Center programs and activities, and the ability to organize multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring that all visitors receive a warm welcome and prompt assistance.
Salary:
$38,000
  • 40,000 plus benefits.
Responsibilities include:
Reception
  • manage the front desk, greet and direct visitors, process admission and memberships, etc. Track and report admissions and event participation. Sales
  • manage gift shop sales, on-site class and event registration, including credit card and cash transactions, and process donations in our CRM system. Membership
  • using our Neon CRM system, identify and communicate with expiring members, process new and renewing members, and handle all communication and benefits deliverables. Review current membership materials and identify opportunities to improve and expand the membership program, including reconfiguring benefits and communication strategies. Administrative Support
  • work closely with all staff to provide support with projects and programs.
Learn and use Neon to input data and pull reports. Answer the phone, and liaise with vendors, artists, donors, members, and instructors. Update calendars across several platforms, review the website and social media channels, and help identify opportunities for promotion and visibility. Arrange repair of office equipment, and assist staff as needed. Qualifications Strong computer skills are essential, including MS Word and Excel. Experience in database management a plus. Excellent organization, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Experience in retail sales, handling cash, and managing inventory a plus.
