The salary range is based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement payscale for this position: https://www.uft.org/your-rights/salary/doe-and-city-salary-schedules/school-counselor-salary-schedule The Dean of Studies? professional and academic experience should ideally span both secondary and postsecondary teaching and administration, and, where relevant, scholarship. The successful candidate for the position will possess the following characteristics and qualifications: Doctoral degree and administrative certification are preferred; At least five years teaching experience, preferably with both college and high school students; At least one year of relevant leadership experience; Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; Strong written and oral communication skills; Experience with and commitment to working with adolescents; Experience programming and scheduling faculty and student programs; Commitment to equity practice and restorative justice The ideal candidate will be a skilled educator with a demonstrated interest in engaging and challenging younger students with diverse racial backgrounds, economic backgrounds, and a variety of approaches to learning and/or needs for learning supports The ideal candidate will demonstrate a continued interest in the ongoing work in their field The ideal candidate will understand cultural difference and help to uplift ideas from underrepresented groups to improve the equity balance in education The ideal candidate will have a commitment to advancing equity through rigorous curricula made accessible to students with varied academic backgrounds Please apply directly with Bard College / Bard Early Colleges.
