Job Description
Position Summary The Assistant Director of Student Accounts plays a vital role on the Student Accounts team. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, team-oriented individual. Responsibilities include but are not limited to daily reconciliation of cash received; obtaining and reconciling federal student aid and private loan funds; issuing student refunds; working with other College departments, students and families to resolve financial aid disbursement and billing concerns. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Minimum of one to three years experience in a high volume customer service or a financial management environment Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills Experience interpreting and explaining complex policies and processes to customers in sometimes stressful situations Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Ability to assist customers of diverse backgrounds and cultures Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States. VISA sponsorship is not offered . Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field Administrative experience in higher education Experience with Ellucian Banner or other related software Familiarity with State and Federal Financial Aid regulations Experience with large volume billing and collections. License/Certification Other Skills Required Supervision Received Director of Student Accounts Supervision Exercised Supervises Office Assistants
