The Liberty Partnership Program Director is full-time, grant funded, administrative position that provides fiscal, administrative, and programmatic leadership for Fulton-Montgomery Community College's Liberty Partnership Program (LPP) within the Greater Amsterdam School District. The Director oversees the implementation and administration of the LPP grant, ensuring program activities, services, staffing, and expenditures align with grant requirements and institutional priorities. This position leads a comprehensive program designed to support students through instructional assistance, counseling, advocacy, and enrichment opportunities. Working collaboratively with campus departments, community agencies, students, and families, the Director promotes student success, develops partnerships, and advocates for the needs of disadvantaged and at-risk student populations.
Salary:
starts at $62,000 annually, comprehensive benefits package, including the New York State Retirement Plan and generous paid time off and holidays. Responsibilities included but not limited to: Develop and oversee the LPP program budget and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Direct program operations, staffing, supervision, and evaluation. Prepare required compliance, performance, accountability, and evaluation reports. Coordinate LPP services and activities with campus departments, schools, and community agencies. Recruit, enroll, advise, and counsel participants and their families. Advocate for disadvantaged and at-risk students and promote student success. Represent LPP on campus and community committees and events. Transport LPP students in College vehicles for approved program activities as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in education, social work, school counseling, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of full-time paid experience in grant-funded program administration, including personnel, budget management, and reporting. Experience coordinating student support, remedial, or dropout prevention programs. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred:
Experience working with at-risk or disadvantaged students; and fluency in Spanish.
